Monsoon Sunrise in Five Minutes

Monsoon Sunrise: Five Minutes of Fire in the Sky

Monsoon sunrise was spectacular this morning. Here in New Mexico we look forward to the monsoon season for the rain but also the skies. Color like this is common at sunrise and sunset. But the color does not last long. This series was photographed over five minutes. There are some advantages to being an early riser. 🙂

  1. Those are awesome pictures. Spectacular! Here at Galveston we get some views that could use your talents. And like yours, they don’t last long enough.

    1. Hi, Jim! Thank you for coming by and leaving a comment. It has been some time since I have been in that part of Texas, but it is about time to at least visit some relatives in the SA area. Again, thank you so much for the comment!

    1. Hi, Tim.So amazing how different things can be just a few miles apart. Clouds over here yesterday were pink! BTW, these are jpgs with no editing at all.

    1. Hi, Karen!! Thanks for coming by! I have many friends here who never see the sunrise, but see the sunsets. I was an early riser even in college; that was definitely reinforced when I became an Ob/Gyn. Now that I am retired I would love to sleep in, but my body seems to have programmed itself for 6 hours of sleep, no matter what. The good thing about that, I guess, is that I see sunrises. 🙂 ))))))))
      Thanks for coming by!!

    1. Hi, Faith. Nice to see you! Sometimes I get so busy with work that I forget to look outside, but most of the time I try to remind myself to take a break to look outside at sunrise. 🙂 We are very fortunate here…

    1. Hi, Pearl. Thank you for dropping by and leaving such a nice comment! I hope you have a great week. 🙂

  2. The sky looks so fiery it looks like sunset. It is spectacular! You can probably tell I’m not a very early riser. Thank you for sharing this beautiful dawn with us.

  3. Hi, Juanita! Yes, a good sunrise with some clouds can be as fiery as a good sunset with clouds. My body seems to have come preloaded for early rising 🙂 ))))) Thanks for stopping by!
