Clearing Clutter, Orchids, and Other Thoughts
What to do when you finally finish clearing years of accumulated clutter from a room… ? Give the room some beautiful, living flowers, of course. 🙂
Quote for the Day:
It was the end of some sort of career. I don’t know why, exactly. I suppose that flowers, when they’re through blooming, have some sort of awareness of some purpose having been served. Flowers didn’t ask to be flowers and I didn’t ask to be me. At the end of Slaughterhouse-Five…I had a shutting-off feeling…that I had done what I was supposed to do and everything was OK .”

Beautiful. We didn’t get orchids this year.
Hi, Tim. I was at Costco yesterday, and they had all kinds of really beautiful orchids for $15.00. It took me about 30 minutes to choose this one, there were so any choices that looked healthy. I settled on this one (these two) because the colors would blend with the room. I’m sure they still have more, like the poinsettias at Christmas.
Beautiful orchids, Susan! They look like Phalaenopsis orchids. An old friend used to raise them, saying they were the easiest type of orchid to keep going.
Hi, Lavinia. Thank you. My mom has always grown beautiful orchids until quite recently. This will be my first attempt, so I hope your friend is right!!! Wish me luck… 🙂
Lovely! Must be nice heading into Spring. 🙂 Hope all is well with you and yours.
What beautiful orchids and what a beautiful photo of them! Thanks for sharing them both.
Hi, Juanita. Thank you so much. And thank you for dropping by!
Hi, Mel. Thank you. Yes, Spring is always nice. We’ve reached a point in this hemisphere at which the hours of light are noticeably longer, and I think that makes me as happy as the coming flowers. 🙂
