Stormy Sunrise

A Stormy Sunrise

Stormy Sunrise

A stormy sunrise had accurately been predicted by the Weather Service for several days. The prediction was correct. Although the sun was trying to peek out between the clouds and mountains, the clouds soon won out. As predicted, we had showers later in the morning. The sun broke through in the afternoon. Now, however, a light rain is falling again. Those of us who live here are happy for the rain!

The neighbors behind me have two friendly, wonderful dogs, Sampson and Inoki. They always greet me when I’m out. Inoki is a born model, and I have posted images of him before. Sampson is a little camera-shy. This image is not sharp, but it is the only one I have. Sampson brightened a stormy sunrise!

Sampson, My Neighbors’ Friendly Dog. He and his brother, Inoki, always greet me when I am out.

Just an ordinary day in New Mexico…

  1. We’ve had stormy sunsets with little color the past couple of evenings as well. Nice to have sweet dogs to greet you.

    1. Hi, Tim. Yes, the two dogs are like having all the fun of pets with none of the work! I need to get a few treats for them! šŸ™‚

  2. That’s a beautiful turbulent sunrise sky, Susan! We are back to rain up here tonight.

    Sampson is a very sweet-looking dog. šŸ™‚

    1. Hi, Lavinia. So nice to see you on this rainy evening. šŸ™‚
Sampson and Inoki are both wonderful dogs, although with different personalities. Iā€™m lucky to have them for neighbors.
      Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Dramatic photo, Susan! Jerry has been tracking the weather in Taos and says it is much of the same. This has been a record year in Taos for winter water and the ski area is similarly having their best year on record. El Nino years are generally good for the desert Southwest; the wildflower bloom should be spectacular.

    1. Hi, Carol! Yes, this has been an El Nino winter for New Mexico for sure. The ski areas really needed a good season, after the past few. This has been one of the dreariest winters I can remember, and I keep reminding myself that we not only were due this, but that we also need this. I’m also looking forward to wildflowers this year.
So nice to see you! Thanks for stopping by. šŸ™‚
