Burquenos, did you catch last night’s monsoon rainbow? Parts of Albuquerque may have seen a full rainbow, but I did not. However, the brightness of one segment made up for that. Moreover, another bonus was watching this rainbow depart in a more exciting manner than merely “fading out.” The sky phenomena here never cease to amaze me.
This is the first rainbow of 2019 I have photographed. I have been too distracted by many of life’s little issues to be out most nights, just to love being out. But this rainbow reminded of 2009’s most fabulous monsoon season and skies. It appeared on Wednesday 🙂 ))))))). In 2009 I came to expect a rainbow on Wednesdays as I was preparing dinner. I don’t know why it happened that way; it just did. I enjoyed it, and I hope you do, too.
I was irrigating and saw the partial arc, but I did not see the dissolving rays from my point-of-view. Beautiful and interesting how it dissolved from where you are.
Hi, Tim. I had wondered if you had perhaps seen a full arc. I had never seen dissolving rays like this. Of course, it could have happened many times before, but seeing something new to my eyes always makes me happy. 🙂 )))))
Thanks for coming by.
I never saw more of an arc than your first photo.
That’s interesting. I thought maybe I had missed it. I was not looking for anything last night (have not all summer; I need to change that), and caught it going into the kitchen for something. I was thrilled to be out with the rainbow. Now I know I didn’t miss something last night. Thank you!
I understand not being able to get out to take photos much, but what a joy to be able to capture this when you can! Take care of you, Susan. 🙂
Seeing a full a full arc doesn’t happen. Seen it a couple times here, on the horizon, while on the freeway. And, a 3/4 arc in our old neighborhood 3-4 years ago.
